RURAL SAVINGS AND CREDIT GROUPS STRENGTHEN GOVERNANCE AND SUSTAINABILITY

As part of the Conscious Leadership Program, Fundación Agrolíbano supported a comprehensive evaluation of Rural Savings and Credit Groups, enhancing their organizational, administrative, financial, and sustainability management. With technical support from CDE MIPYME Golfo de Fonseca, the second Strategic Plan (2019–2025) consolidated 12 active Rural Savings Groups. At the beginning of 2026, one restored group was added, bringing the total to 13 active community-based financial structures. These groups play a vital role in financing family agriculture, stimulating local commerce, and expanding access to essential services, contributing to inclusive development and advancing SDGs 1, 5, 8, 10, 16, and 17
