IMPROVEMENTS IN SCHOOL INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT THE START OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR

At the beginning of this year, the José Trinidad Reyes Basic Education Center, located in the community of El Espino, Nacaome, was painted and refurbished to welcome the 2026 academic year in a clean and colorful environment. This improvement was made possible through the Juntos por la Educación Program of Fundación Agrolíbano and the contribution of Grupo Sur Química (GSQ), which donated a large portion of the paint used to renovate the school, where nearly 100 students from first to ninth grade study. The initiative also included the participation of the Parents’ Association, teachers, and community members, who actively contributed to this transformation. This effort contributes to SDGs 4, 11, and 17, demonstrating how collaborative work strengthens educational opportunities in communities.
