Fundación agrolíbano strengthens family gardens to promote food resilience
Between April and June 2025, a total of 74 families in the departments of Choluteca and Valle received technical support to strengthen their family gardens, as part of Fundación Agrolíbano’s Healthy Families Program. Through home visits, assistance was provided in soil preparation, weed control, and seed planting, fostering the sustainability of these productive spaces. Over 50 families are already harvesting their own food, and in cases of need, materials were provided to help define cultivation areas. The initiative encourages continuous production beyond the traditional postrera season, optimizing the use of small plots and promoting food resilience. This effort directly contributes to SDGs 2 and 3.
