Strengthening Parents’ Associations in favor of community management to improve academic performance
To facilitate the inclusion of community leadership in actions to improve education from community development plans, it is necessary to strengthen the empowerment of the entire educational community. To this end, 6 support sessions were held with 6 Parents’ Associations (APF) to analyze and reflect on the role of the educational community and the factors influencing the academic results of the third partial of 1,400 students in 2023.
At the end of these sessions, the updating and elaboration of improvement plans was achieved, which will result in more satisfactory results in the next tests and the development of competencies in students with greater involvement of each member of the educational community. All these actions are part of the strategy to strengthen the organizational capacities of APF of the Support for the Development of Children and Adolescents in the School Environment (ADINAE) program, promoted by the Agrolíbano Foundation, which contributes to the goals of SDGs #4 and #17.
