Implementation of Plant Nurseries in 5 Communities

On February 17, 2025, Fundación Agrolíbano, through its Liderazgo Consciente program, launched the creation of plant nurseries in five communities: Laurelada and Agua Agria #2 in El Corpus, San Agustín in Namasigüe, Tamarindo in Apacilagua, and Altos del Estiquirín in Nacaome. The goal is to promote reforestation and environmental conservation by restoring local ecosystems through the production of seedlings from native species. A total of 115 people, including 70 women and 45 men, are being trained in techniques for substrate preparation and seed management. The initiative strengthens community organization, fosters leadership, and supports the SDGs #13, #15, and #17.
